Care
Caring for your earrings
- Avoid spraying earrings with solvents such as perfume, deodorant or hairspray
- Take care when removing stud backs so as not to damage the posts
- Keep away from intense heat
- Remove earrings before swimming, bathing and sleeping and do not get earrings that are coated in resin wet
- Do not bend and try not to drop your earrings
- Store separately from other items to avoid scratching
- Clean with a soft, damp cloth without chemicals
Your earrings are made by hand and although polymer clay is a strong and durable material, they can be broken if mistreated. Treat them with love and care and they'll stay beautiful for you for longer.
I advise you store your accessories in a closed container to keep oxygen and other outside elements from tarnishing the metals. If your earrings/accessories are made using gold-plated or silver-plated materials and you notice after some time that the metal appears dull and dark, fear not! You can restore them to their original shine. Simply mix a small amount of dish soap with warm water and gently wipe the metal clean*. (*Being careful not to immerse polymer clay earring components that are coated in resin or varnish into water.)
